Near the jetty, Great Race Rocks

Christine Chourmouzis observed a wounded California sea lion near the jetty and identified him as Friar Tuck, an animal disentangled by marine mammal responders in 2023.

Great Race Rock

Anne Stewart observed a young female northern elephant seal known at the reserve as Crankypants, with visible skin wounds. She read right-hand tag A114; she considered the less legible left-hand tag possibly A476. No diagnosis is assigned here.
