Observation: Julie Bowser reported two newly visiting elephant seals. One carried green tag 5086 and appeared to her to be an animal photographed at the reserve earlier that year, now missing a second tag. The previous identity is retained as tentative.

Observation: Alex Fletcher saw the elephant seal pup called Squall coming up the boat ramp with wet fur. He interpreted this as evidence of a swim, while noting that he had not watched her in the water and could not establish whether she had swum previously.
