Observation: A visitor found a harbour seal pup alone at Seymour Bay near Cowan Point. The Vancouver Police Marine Unit transported VAMMR staff to retrieve her that evening. VAMMR named her Canadian Bacon.

Observation: A small premature male seal pup was observed alone on Anvil Island throughout the day before being rescued. The aquarium team named him Emerald. He was transported via Porteau Cove for treatment.
